Welcome our new Creative Director-Shane Sauer!

YOLO Board recently appointed Shane Sauer as Creative Director.  In his role, Sauer will oversee web marketing and video production for all YOLO Board brands including YOLO Bike Co., YOLO Paddle Co. and our lifestyle apparel line.

“Bringing Shane on board in a larger capacity was a natural next step for us,” said Jeff Archer, YOLO Board’s CEO. “We had the good fortune of working with him on a freelance basis over the years, and could always depend on him to deliver solid production and killer creative. Having his commitment and enthusiasm full time in this new role is a big positive for the future of YOLO Board’s branding efforts.”

“I’m looking forward to maximizing the skills that are most useful for YOLO Board’s success,” adds Sauer. “If it means hanging off a cliff to capture a photo or doing hours of keyword research online, I’ll do any of that. These guys are some of the coolest people I’ve ever met. I’m so glad to be here.”

Sauer began his career as a freelance filmmaker in 2002 where he spent a half-dozen years in New York City working on feature films, commercials, documentaries, and music videos.

In 2007, he relocated back to the Emerald Coast and pursued a career as a teacher at Niceville High School. There he pioneered the efforts behind the modernization of Okaloosa County School District’s IT department by establishing a truly futuristic classroom/studio and pushing the video and motion graphics program into the 21st century. Additionally, as an Apple Certified Instructor, he made Okaloosa County one of the first School Districts to offer Apple Authorized training and testing.

Born and raised in Destin, FL, Sauer earned a BFA in Motion Picture Television and Recording Arts from Florida State University. He resides in Destin with his wife Crissy, daughter Kai and son Bodhi.
