Matt Wise to Teach Racing Clinic at Shark Bite Challenge

Join YOLO Board Elite Team Rider Matt Wise as he teaches you the in's and out's of SUP racing. This clinic is perfect for those who are just getting in to racing, or for who want to hone their racing skills. We all could learn a lot from this all-around waterman, and we are excited to have him teach at the 2014 Shark Bite Challenge April 5th.

Matt is an up and coming talent on the SUP racing circuit, following closely in the footsteps of his father, Gary Wise. Growing up in the YOLO Board family, Matt was introduced to SUP at the age of twelve and enjoys spending as much time as possible out on the water.

Notable SUP accomplishments in 2013 include first place in the technical course of the Shark Bite Challenge, 1st 17u and 3rd overall at the Carolina Cup, and 1st 17u at the East Coast Paddleboard Championships. Matt is also sponsored by Kialoa and Maui Rippers.

An all-around waterman, Matt also participates in the United States Life Saving Southeast Regional and National Junior Championships. He has a total of twelve medals in the Southeast Regionals and six medals at the National level over the course of four years of competition.

Cost of clinic is $25, and is limited to 10 people. Contact Karen Mirlenbrink to sign up, [email protected]
