Born in Germany and raised in Australia, SUP enthusiast and all around waterman Ingo now resides in Oahu, Hawaii with wife Ehiku and young son Peanut. Introduced to SUP surfing in Malibu in 2006, Ingo enjoys the versatility of the sport and plans to be instrumental in spreading the YOLO spirit to the Hawaiian Islands. Ingo is currently training for the Molokai 2 Oahu 32 mile paddle scheduled for July 2012 and will be the first YOLO rider to compete in the race.

A fresh face on the Elite SUP racing circuit, Ingo has already made an impression, winning several local races in Florida and placing second in the 2011 Blue Ridge SUP Splash. Ingo excels at downwind paddling and likes challenging himself with intense workouts.

When not paddling, Ingo works as an actor, best known for his role as Jasper “Jax” Jacks on General Hospital. While traveling the country for acting jobs, Ingo takes the time to offer SUP private and small group lessons, working as an ambassador for the sport and getting new people out on the water. Ingo is also passionate about protecting the environment.

What is your idea of a perfect day?
Working out enough so that at the end of the day I can really sleep, that’s my goal every day. The natural high, there’s nothing better.

In what place do you feel most inspired?
Somewhere hot and tropical, I love the heat! Heat = Happy Ingo.

What or who is your greatest love?
My wife, Ehiku, and my son, Peanut. I don’t like being away from them, so I’m not.

How would you describe your style?
Ha, Ehiku would beg to differ, but I try to go with the flow ;-)

What do you value most in life?
My health! And trying to help keep our planet clean for future generations.

What living person is your greatest influence?
It changes all the time. I want to be as relaxed as Jeff Archer (Co-founder of YOLO Board)!
